2. Fiction - stories which are the work of  the author's imagination

a. Pulp fiction - fiction based on current lifestyles, generally for entertainment

b. Science fiction  - stories about  future events and usually include advances in technology as imagined by the author.

c. Historical fiction - books set in the past - usually centuries ago

d. Poetry - a collection of  lines with rhythm and rhyme
